The RCDMK7 is an OEM Volkswagen Infotainment Unit designed for the MIB audio system of the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 (2013 to 2017 models).

Note: The RCDMK7 unit is a great option for replacing faulty MIB components while adding Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality, though it may not be suitable for vehicles with premium external amplifier systems

Parking Camera Options:

If you have an original camera, our system supports it.

Each camera option will come with a relay, enabling a smart parking view. The rear sight will remain on the screen for a certain time even after shifting from reverse to drive or park.

Notes:

• While our system is largely DIY and does not require additional coding when installed without further accessories or upgrades, we recommend professional installation by an auto electrician for optimal performance.

For vehicles equipped with the Idle Engine On/Off feature:

While this feature won’t damage the head unit, it may cause constant connect/disconnect cycles between your phone and the audio system when using CarPlay or Android Auto.

This could result in sync errors over time. Therefore, it’s recommended to use the system without the Idle Engine function enabled for the best performance
