• Important Note:
  From 2017 onwards, Volkswagen altered the layout of the main harness for commercial vehicles. It's highly recommended to purchase the corresponding head unit and harness together if your vehicle is from 2017 or later, as the new layout may not be compatible with earlier harness configurations.

Installation
Professional installation is recommended to ensure compatibility and full functionality with your Volkswagen commercial vehicle’s infotainment system.

Note: Ensure you verify your vehicle’s production year and the head unit layout before purchasing to avoid compatibility issues, especially for models built after 2017

Installation Tip
If you're unsure about your vehicle’s compatibility, it's best to check the back of your current head unit. The VIN alone won't provide the necessary information about compatibility.

PARKING CAMERA OPTIONS

Each camera option will come with a relay, enabling a smart parking view feature. The rear view will remain on the screen for a certain time even after shifting from reverse to drive or park.

• Badge camera is only compatible with Golf Mk5/Mk6 and Passat sedan/CC.
• Trunk handle camera won’t fit on Caddy models with barn doors.

Camera Compatibility:

• If the original camera has a moving guideline function, the camera adapter will not be compatible.
• Most VW original reverse cameras are not compatible with the RCD440PRO. You will need an adapter to convert the video source, or it might be best to install a new camera.
• This head unit was designed for older generation models that didn't offer a reverse camera as a factory accessory.

Important Notes:

• This unit does not support front camera installation or conversion.
• Although our system is fairly DIY and doesn’t require additional coding if installed without extra accessories, we still recommend professional installation by an auto electrician for optimal performance.

For vehicles equipped with the Idle Engine On/Off feature:

While this feature won’t damage the head unit, it may cause constant connect/disconnect cycles between your phone and the audio system when using CarPlay or Android Auto.

This could result in sync errors over time. Therefore, it’s recommended to use the system without the Idle Engine function enabled for the best performance
