Upgrade your compatible Land Rover Discovery 4 (2010–2013) with the small information screen on the top of the dashboard to a modern touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Naviplus provides this conversion as a workshop installation service in Clayton, VIC 3168.

Installation Service Only

This is not a supply-only or DIY installation kit. The conversion requires programming and fascia modification, and installation is carried out by the Naviplus team in Clayton, VIC 3168.

The listed service price includes installation of the audio unit and reversing camera, together with the required coding by Naviplus. Confirm the current unit, availability and booking details with us.

Current Head Unit Setup

We now use a Kenwood slim-profile head unit for this conversion. The exact model is confirmed when booking and may change with availability and the current product lineup. Generic vehicle images are used to avoid showing an outdated head unit.

This is a replacement head unit conversion for the small-screen dashboard, rather than a CarPlay interface added to a factory navigation screen.

Service Includes

Kenwood slim-profile touchscreen head unit installation, with the current model confirmed before booking.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality through the replacement unit.
Reversing camera installation with automatic rear-view display when reverse is selected.
Required programming, coding and fascia modification.
Integration with supported steering wheel controls and the vehicle’s sound system.
System setup, testing and an operating tutorial.

Connectivity & Features

The original service specification includes wired Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, Bluetooth phone/audio and USB media playback. Confirm the connectivity and features of the current Kenwood unit when booking; wireless connectivity is not assumed.

Front camera compatibility depends on the selected head unit and installation setup. A front camera is not listed as included in this service; discuss any additional camera requirements before booking.

Important Vehicle Compatibility Check

For Discovery 4 models from 2010–2013 with the small information screen on the top dashboard. Confirm the screen and audio system rather than relying on model year alone.

Existing Audio Control Panel

The original audio control panel will be disabled after the conversion. The original small screen connected to that control panel is removed. Audio operation is handled through the replacement unit and supported integrated controls.

Reversing Camera

The service includes reversing camera installation. Once fitted and configured, the replacement display automatically shows the rear camera view when reverse gear is selected. Camera placement and the final screen layout are confirmed during installation.

Confirm your factory dashboard and installation requirements. Send your VIN, model year, market and clear display/button photos to sales@naviplus.com.au.

Please tell us whether the vehicle has any aftermarket audio equipment or existing camera. We will confirm compatibility, the current Kenwood head unit, included work and appointment availability.

Installation is provided by Naviplus in Clayton, VIC 3168. This service is not available as a shipped installation kit. Online checkout orders will be cancelled; contact us to arrange a booking.

Device Warranty & Service Support

We provide a 12-month standard device warranty for the supplied audio unit and components. Contact Naviplus if you experience a fault so we can assess the system and arrange the appropriate support.
