• Repeated restarting or failure to complete startup.
• Frozen menus, slow response or intermittent operation.
• No sound, intermittent audio or missing audio sources.
• Black screen or loss of the iDrive display.
• Bluetooth, navigation or media functions not operating correctly.

These symptoms do not confirm that the head unit itself is faulty. The display, power supply, wiring, amplifier or communication system may require investigation.

Repair feasibility and the scope of work are confirmed after assessment. Some faults may require replacement rather than repair.

If replacement is required, we can assess suitable options and the programming or coding needed for your BMW.

• Check the original and replacement unit details.
• Confirm compatibility with the display and installed audio equipment.
• Assess vehicle configuration, programming and feature-activation requirements.
• Check agreed functions after installation and setup.

Please do not assume that a used head unit is ready to install simply because its connectors or casing look the same. Send us the part-number labels before purchasing a donor unit.

Startup warning removal: the initial iDrive warning or acknowledgement message can be disabled on supported systems.

Welcome screen or startup animation: this is a separate setting. Available changes depend on the head unit and software version.

On supported vehicles, coding can enable the mirrors to fold when locking and unfold when unlocking.

Factory power-folding mirrors are required. Coding does not add folding motors to manually folding mirrors.

Availability depends on the body control module and vehicle type. Some models, including certain convertibles, may not support this operation.

Depending on the vehicle, you can also enquire about:

• Bluetooth audio streaming activation.
• Digital speed display.
• Lock confirmation settings where the required alarm hardware is fitted.
• Welcome-light timing and selected convenience settings.
• Camera, CarPlay or Android Auto upgrade options, quoted separately.
