Press and hold the MENU button on the original iDrive control pad to switch between the factory BMW menu and CarPlay / Android Auto. Follow the supplied instructions for the hold duration.

Use the iDrive dial for supported selection and navigation. Some Android Auto track or app functions may not respond to every controller action. Confirm the supplied software behaviour during setup.

The original screen remains unchanged. This interface does not add touch sensitivity.

Uses the factory microphone. Telephone calls stay on the original BMW Bluetooth hands-free connection and use the vehicle’s existing microphone.

Music uses BMW Bluetooth Audio / Bluetooth Media. Pair the phone with the factory BMW Bluetooth system, enable the supported telephone and media-audio functions, and select the BMW Bluetooth Audio source for music playback.

• Pair your phone with the original BMW Bluetooth system for calls and media audio.
• Select Bluetooth Audio / Bluetooth Media in the factory BMW media menu.
• Connect to CarPlay / Android Auto through the supplied USB connection or selected wireless package.
• Test music, navigation prompts, outgoing and incoming calls, and microphone operation before completing installation.

The factory Bluetooth call connection handles telephone audio. Keep the correct BMW device selected as the call-audio destination. The phone-to-interface connection and the original BMW audio connection serve different purposes.

AUX is not the standard audio path for this NBT setup. Confirm that the vehicle’s original Bluetooth hands-free and Bluetooth Audio functions work before installation. Existing microphone or Bluetooth faults require separate diagnosis.

Standard: wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the dedicated USB connection, as shown in the source standard-package reference.

Wireless option: choose the wireless accessory / package when required. Confirm inclusion and compatibility with your phone before ordering.

Factory BMW Bluetooth handles music and calls in this NBT setup; this does not by itself mean the CarPlay / Android Auto video interface is wireless.

The original BMW headunit and screen remain fitted. Switch back to the factory interface for original menus and vehicle settings.

The source reference shows factory reverse / surround-camera access while using smartphone integration. Confirm retention and camera priority for the exact installed equipment; this kit does not add cameras or parking sensors.

Tell Naviplus about existing cameras, PDC and aftermarket equipment. Camera accessories and retention adapters are supplied only when included in the selected package.

The original listing also describes separate AirPlay / MirrorLink-style mirroring. Confirm support for the selected interface, phone and current software version.

Mirroring is separate from CarPlay / Android Auto. App restrictions, protected content and phone software can limit what appears on the display; support for every phone app is not guaranteed.

The NBT package retains the original BMW microphone; an aftermarket microphone is not the standard call-audio arrangement described here.

Videos retained from the original listing may show another vehicle or software generation. Confirm operation for your supplied package.

We provide a 12-month product warranty and pre-test systems before dispatch. Contact Naviplus promptly if you experience a problem, and before returning a product.

Returned systems are tested and may receive a firmware update if required. Testing normally takes 1–2 days after receipt. Once repair or replacement is confirmed, we dispatch the system back at our cost. Return shipping arrangements for faulty goods are subject to applicable consumer rights.

This warranty is additional to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The change-of-mind notification period does not limit warranty claims or applicable consumer guarantees.

Contact us within seven days of receipt with your reason for requesting a change-of-mind return. Conditions depend on product condition. For days 8–13, contact us to confirm the applicable terms.

Returned products are tested to assess condition and use, including stored vehicle data where applicable. Change-of-mind refunds are based on the product price and exclude shipping, installation labour and related costs. These terms do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
