The system has older software
A compatible software update may be required before full-screen activation. Any additional work is confirmed and quoted separately.

This service is intended for compatible BMW and MINI NBT EVO ID5 / ID6 systems.

Enquiries are welcome for BMW 1–7 Series, i3, X3, X4, X5, X6 and MINI vehicles fitted with the appropriate system. The model name or registration year alone does not confirm support.

• The head unit must support the required CarPlay function.
• Software and display compatibility must be checked.
• Wi-Fi hardware and antenna requirements must be confirmed. Additional hardware may be needed.
• Replacement, imported or previously modified systems require individual assessment.

Standard NBT, CIC, EntryNav and NBT EVO ID4 systems are not automatically eligible for this activation package. Contact us about alternative upgrade options.

For initial assessment, please send the complete version beginning with NBTevo_, rather than only the first letter.

NBTevo_N and later: generally suitable for full-screen assessment, subject to the complete software version and system configuration.

Earlier versions, including H–M: CarPlay activation may be possible on compatible hardware, but full-screen operation may require a software update.

A version letter alone is not an activation guarantee. We confirm the appropriate procedure before booking.

1. Open the factory Navigation screen.
2. Press the OPTIONS button on the controller.
3. Look for Navigation Settings, Position and Version, or Version Information.
4. Photograph the complete screen showing the NBTevo_... version.

Menu wording varies by software and language. If you cannot find it, send a photo of the main menu and your VIN so we can assist.

Factory wireless CarPlay uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi during connection and operation. Keep both enabled on your compatible iPhone and enable Siri.

Operation uses the supported factory controller, steering-wheel functions and Siri. Touch operation is available only where the original display supports it.

This is a factory-system activation service. It does not convert a non-touch display into a touchscreen or include an aftermarket interface box.

Does full-screen activation add CarPlay?
No. Full-screen activation changes the layout of an existing CarPlay function. If CarPlay is not activated, the activation service must also be assessed.

Does this include Android Auto?
No. This NBT EVO activation package is for Apple CarPlay. Contact us separately for Android Auto integration options.

Can I use Google Maps, Waze or Spotify?
Supported CarPlay apps can be used through your connected iPhone. App availability, mobile data and subscriptions depend on the app and your phone plan.

Is activation always performed by USB?
No. The method depends on the head unit and software. We confirm the required procedure for your vehicle.

• Provide your model, build date, VIN and software-version photo.
• Tell us whether CarPlay is already available and whether it currently uses a partial-screen layout.
• Disclose previous coding, head unit replacement, firmware changes or retrofit equipment.
• Software updates, antenna installation and additional hardware are included only if specified in the quotation.
• Later programming or replacement of the head unit may affect existing coding or activation. Contact us before further software work.
